Description:	Kevin J. Mott, MD earned his medical degree in 1986 at the University of Iowa. After an internship in general surgery at Naval Hospital Bethesda, he was stationed at Branch Naval Medical Clinic - Barbers Point, Hawaii, for four years, including an eight-month tour in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operation Desert Shield and Storm. After a distinguished military career, Dr. Mott left the Navy in 1991 and entered practice at St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu for the next four years. Always welcoming a new challenge, Dr. Mott entered dermatology training at the University of Missouri in 1995. After a three-year residency program, he then completed a fellowship program in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Surgery while an assistant professor at the University of Missouri. Returning to Hawaii in 2000, Dr. Mott became the first Mohs surgeon to affiliate with Queen's Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Region. In 2002, Dr. Mott founded the Hawaii Skin Cancer and Photodamage Center - Hawaii's first skin cancer center. Located at Restaurant Row in Honolulu, Hawaii Skin Cancer Center provides a state-of-the-art, convenient facility dedicated to expert skin cancer treatment featuring Mohs micrographic surgery as well as innovate rejuvenation procedures to improve or reverse aging changes of the skin related to chronic sun exposure. Dr. Mott is board certified in dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery.
