Description:	Island bases are constructed of galvanized steel studs, track and screws that are used in building homes to eliminate rusting in wet conditions. The walls are constructed of cement backer board, which is a durable board able to absorb water without warping or disfiguring, therefore, your island will not be affected by harsh cold or hot weather conditions. All barbecue islands are browned with a thin set and all corners are wrapped with mesh to ensure that the joints in the island do not split or crack. The external bases are covered with stucco, rock veneer or brick veneer. Used in the home building industry, the all weather stucco can be matched to your home or project. The rock veneer is manufactured to replicate indigenous stones of the Hawaiian Islands. This cast stone is non-combustible, maintenance free and termite resistant. The barbecue island sub counter is also constructed of galvenized steel. Counter top choices are either tile, slate or Rocksolid GranitTM. Counter tops made of tile or slate use 100% acrylic grout and an all-weather sealant is applied to the entire surface. The granite counters are made of 95% natural stone imported from Italy and a specially formulated polymer that makes your counter heat, stain and scratch resistant.
