| Description: | Chris Bouslog was born in New York City and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i. He has practiced law in Hawai'i since 1982. His practice concentrates on civil litigation in the fields of serious personal injury and wrongful death, maritime personal injury, Longshore and Harborworker Act claims, serious injuries and deaths caused by defective products, the professional liability of physicians, hospitals, attorneys and real estate brokers, as well as individuals and businesses involved in commercial litigation claims. Lesli Marumoto is Mr. Bouslog's legal assistant. Chris graduated from Punahou High School in Honolulu, received a B.A. degree from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 1976 and graduated from Cornell Law School in 1981. Areas of Practice and Legal Background Mr. Bouslog served as a Deputy Public Defender for the State of Hawai'i for six years following his graduation from law school. While at the Office of the Public Defender, he successfully defended serious and high-profile felony cases and handled numerous trials. Since 1989, Chris' practice has concentrated on serious personal injury and wrongful death claims, maritime personal injury cases, the professional liability of physicians, hospitals, attorneys and real estate brokers, civil rights and commercial litigation. Chris was co-counsel for plaintiffs in the largest reported jury verdict in Hawai'i for premises and third-party liability for criminal conduct during 1993. (Walsh v. Y.M.C.A. of Oahu). He was a co-author of "A Brief Overview of Seamen's Personal Injury Law" published in the July, 2002 issue of the Hawai'i Bar Journal. Chris is an Arbitrator for the Court Annexed Arbitration Program and has also served as a privately retained Arbitrator. |
