Description:	In 1778, Captain Cook's cruise was greeted on the Big Island of Hawaii by over 15,000 double hulled sailing canoes. Island Spirit mimics the stability, grace, comfort and space of these traditional voyaging canoes, blended with the latest in sailing technology. To continue our policy of intimate one-on-one sails, we have all 42 feet of her dedicated to a mere 4 - 15 passengers for marine mammal watching, snorkel and coastal cruises. For wild dolphin swims, the maximum number of swimmers is 10. For classroom, corporate or special occasion (i.e., weddings, fundraising, etc.) charters, our up to 25 passenger limit still provides ample room. Inquire about overnighters, extended, private sails or other adventures. Best of all, all of our above-cost proceeds are donated to the local Wild Dolphin Foundation to further their actions in conservation of the marine environment. This well-built, stable yacht (safe for all ages and wheelchair accesible) boasts an on-deck fresh water shower to keep you comfortable after snorkeling, and can also be critical for those catching last minute flights home!The drop-down staircase makes both getting into and out of the water a breeze. Although we depart from rural Waianae Boat Harbor, the hull of Island Spirit was built for beach landings, fitted with metal keel shoes and prop and rudder guards as well as the bow loading steps.
