Description:	The Hawaii Women's Business Center is the first organization in the state focused on helping women start and grow their own businesses. The center began in 1998 with startup funds from American Savings Bank and with support from SBA's Business Information and Counseling Center. In July, 1999, HWBC became one of only twenty-five women's business centers in the nation to be awarded a five-year grant from the SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership. We are among ninety plus centers across the U.S. and territories.
