Description:	Aloha ,I would like to share my story with you. Over the years my favorite program on TV was "Touched by an Angel". Let me tell you how my life was touched by an angel. In 1993 I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After the surgery, I had radiation therapy . I developed grand mal seizures. This was a very low point in my life. I did not feel like going out because I never knew when I would wake up in the emergency room. I lost my job because of my condition. Christmas Day 1998 we were driving along and I saw a group of puppies. They were so joyful, jumping up and down. For the first time I felt their joy. We stopped the car to look at them. They were having so much fun it was infectious. The owner came out and said " would you like one Brother". I chose the only white one .At the time I did not realize he would change my life for the better .The first day we went to the beach and out to eat. In no time at all we bonded A few days later I was not feeling well. I laid down on my bed. Kaipo came running into the room, jumping up on the bed and licking my face. This happened several times. At this point I believed that he was trying to alert me to my seizures. I made several phone calls and was refereed to Susan Leuhrs of Hawaii Fido for training and certification. She is the only one qualified on the island to do this. After Kaipo's certification each morning was a new day. There are not enough words to thank Susan for her help. She is a great advocate for the disabled. It is contagious, now I spend my days educating Hawaii about seizure dogs. Mother's Day we were on the Hawaiian Moving Company which is a local TV program, they were not aware that dogs can do this.
